Welcome to the homepage of the JCAW Foundation, Inc. !

Beginning its operation in October 2010, the JCAW Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation based in the Washington, DC area, promoting charitable works and cultural/educational support activities. Together with the Japan Commerce Association of Washington, DC (JCAW), the JCAW Foundation seeks to deepen economic and cultural communication between the United States and Japan through a close relationship between the Japanese community and American community in the Washington, DC area, thereby promoting activity that will lead to an increased mutual understanding between the United States and Japan on the private-sector level.

The major achievements of the JCAW Foundation after its establishment are the donation campaign in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 and the Cherry Blossom Centennial Commemoration Projects of 2012 that commemorated the 100th anniversary of the donation of cherry blossom trees from the City of Tokyo to Washington, DC. Thankfully, both of these events will be handed down as great works that further deepen the bonds of friendship between the United States and Japan. Just like JCAW, the JCAW Foundation reaffirms our continued efforts to seek “deepening of the US-Japan relationship based in Washington, DC” and develop warm-hearted activities while promoting friendship and exchange with the local community. We look forward to your continued understanding and support.

The JCAW Foundation is a non-profit corporation certified by IRS as a section 501(c)(3) organization, thus, donations to the Foundation are tax deductible. If you are interested in our activities or have any questions, please contact us.
