Sakura Grant Program 

The purpose of the Sakura Grant Program is to support public, private, and charter/magnet schools that provide Japanese language and/or Japanese cultural education to students at the K-12 level in Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Virginia.

Grants will range between $500 and $3,000 per school, per school year. Schools may apply for more than one project, but the total amount requested for all projects may not exceed $3,000 in one school year.

Applications must be received at the JCAW Foundation office no later than June 30, 2016. Schools will be notified no later than September 30, 2016 whether their application has been approved. Schools which have received the grant for a total of three years are not eligible to apply for 2016 Sakura Grant.
